NAACP Turns to Higher Power in Fight with Catholic University

 The NAACP is turning to a higher power to get a student chapter of the organization on the campus of Catholic University. NAACP President Kweisi Mfume says the organization has not appealed to the Washington Archdiocese to make the school allow an on-campus branch of the civil rights organization. Catholic University has refused to allow a student chapter of the NAACP to form claiming the chapter would be a duplicate of other campus African-American student organizations and because of the NAACP's pro-choice stance on abortions.
