"Please Don't Do Me Like that": White Chattanooga Cops who Savagely Beat & Tasered Restrained Black Man Still Off Duty - for now

"Rollover Now!" From [HERE] Circuit Court Judge Neil Thomas sided with the city today granting a temporary restraining order to keep two former officers off their job until an appeal is heard. But Thomas ordered the city to put former Chattanooga Police officers Sean Emmer and Adam Cooley back on the payroll and pay their benefits.

City attorneys have filed an appeal in Circuit Court against Administrative Law Judge Kim Summers' 30 page decision to reinstate Emmer and Cooley. Summers, who is also a white person, found the white officers had acted in accordance with their training when they beat Black inmate Adam Tatum more than 44 times with a metal baton, breaking both his legs, during a confrontation at the Salvation Army on McCallie Avenue. Tattum is a Black man. [How many more blows would it have taken for the police conduct to be unreasonable to this white woman? This decision sends the message that this type of (racism) excessive force is justifiable when done to black people by white (people) cops. MORE]

A video shows two large white officers beat Mr. Tatum, a Black man, so forcefully that they broke both of his legs in multiple places.  There was no indication that he was resisting arrest or causing harm to himself or others. Nevertheless, the officers overreacted by grabbing him from behind in a choke hold, slamming him down and then hitting him mercilessly no less than 60 times with meal batons and fists while he sat helplessly on the ground. Then a gang of other officers, all white join in on the pouncing. [MORE]

Based on public outcry, City Attorney Phil Noblett argued the police department would have a difficult time enforcing in the community if the officers were allowed back on the streets.

In a white supremacy system all white people should be suspected of being racists. To the extent that you might be dealing with a racist, attempt to comply with police orders. In face to face confrontations with white police officers, white supremacy is your reality. All of your so-called rights may be dealt with later - should they allow it. Nevertheless, avoid incriminating yourself or participating in your own oppression. Victims are rarely in a position to make demands - defense attorneys should keep this in mind.

LA County, Sheriff’s Department on trial for (racism) excessive force: Deputy Punched, Kicked Inmate 35 Times

From [HERE] and [HERE] Videos of inmates screaming in pain while being hit multiple times with a Taser. A sheriff’s deputy taking the stand to deny he used excessive force even while testifying he punched and kicked inmates as many as 35 times after they were already sprawled face down on their cells.

Those were just some of the highlights — or lowlights — of a trial underway at the downtown federal courthouse, as Los Angeles County and its Sheriff’s Department stand accused of subjecting inmates to “dehumanizing abuse” while “under the color of law” during a cell extraction on Aug. 25, 2008.

Five inmates — Heriberto Rodriguez, Carlos Flores, Erick Nunez, Juan Carlos Sanchez and Juan Trinidad — are suing for unspecified damages, saying they suffered skull fractures, broken limbs and other serious injuries after being “unmercifully beaten” by deputies at Men’s Central Jail.

In their complaint, they said about 15 to 30 inmates barricaded themselves inside their cells to protest the beating of a fellow inmate. Deputies allegedly responded by subjecting them to “brutal and gratuitous force that was unnecessary for any legitimate penal interest and amounted to punishment.”

No Duty to help Asian Man: White NYPD Officer Charged with Attacking Driver & Family - white media shields him from public view

From [HERE] An off-duty white undercover police detective has been arraigned on upgraded charges alleging he participated in the gang assault of a sport-utility vehicle driver last week in Manhattan. Detective Wojciech Braszczok was seen on video as he was escorted from court Wednesday afternoon with a hood covering his face. Thus far, the media has declined to show any photographs of the alleged outlaw officer. Rather, the media shows photo and video of the persons of color invovled - all civillians, who have no sworn duty to protect & serve or to be truthful to the public.

The charges against Wojciech Braszczok were much more serious than the police initially said. He could face five years in prison if convicted on all the counts. Like some of the other bikers, Braszczok has been charged with assault, gang assault and criminal mischief, 1010 WINS’ Juliet Papa reported.

Prosecutors said Braszczok forgot his duty to serve and protect. They said the off-duty detective was an active participant in the mob of motorcyclists chasing and terrorizing SUV driver Alexian Lien and his family.

Prosecutors also said Braszczok did not render appropriate assistance at the scene, failed to promptly report the beatdown at the scene, and misled investigators about his exact involvement. A judge on Wednesday allowed audio recording in court, but no video cameras. Assistant District Attorney Samantha Turino told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Tamiko Amaker that witness video showed Braszczok joining in on the attack on the SUV.

“Much of what I have described, your honor – including this assault – was captured on video in what can only be described as a brutal and brazen attack on the driver and his family, in which this defendant is an active participant,” Turino told the judge. “This defendant also did nothing to stop it, including not calling 911.”

Turino claimed while some of the bikers were pulling Lien out of the SUV, Braszczok “is on video breaking the rear window of the SUV and causing it to shatter.” [MORE]

Miami Beach protesters demand arrest of Overseers (officers) who Tasered Latino teen to Death for Graffiti on abandoned McDonalds

From [HERE] More than 200 people marched through Miami Beach on Sunday, clogging tourist-filled sidewalks to demand the arrest of a policeman who fired a stun gun at a graffiti artist who died in police custody. The protesters alleged that Officer Jorge Mercado used excessive force when he used a Taser on Israel Hernandez-Llach, 18, during an arrest attempt in August.

Hernandez-Llach was prolific graffiti artist nicknamed "Reefa," and the march was led by the Justice for Reefa Committee and the American Community Council. Marchers asked that Mercado be fired and arrested and that the Miami Beach Police Department change its policy regarding use of stun guns.

Police discovered Colombian-born Hernandez-Llach spray-painting the wall of an abandoned McDonald's early on the morning of August 6. The teenager fled, evading police for several minutes before he was cornered and stunned with the Taser.

He died shortly afterward and friends who were with him told Reuters they heard and saw officers celebrating and high fiving while the young man's body lay on the ground.

Judge orders monitor to keep Arizona sheriff from racial profiling

USNews

A U.S. federal judge on Wednesday ordered a monitor be appointed to oversee the work of hard-line Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio to ensure that his officers no longer use racial profiling, especially of Latinos, when cracking down on illegal immigration.

U.S. District Judge Murray Snow had in May ordered the Maricopa County sheriff to stop using race as a factor in law enforcement decisions, in response to a lawsuit brought by Hispanic drivers that tested whether police could target illegal immigrants without profiling U.S. citizens and legal residents of Hispanic origin.

On Wednesday, the same judge ordered parties in the case to agree on the selection of a monitor within 60 days to oversee the work of the 81-year-old lawman, who styles himself as "America's toughest sheriff."

NYPD Cops Did Nothing as Asian Man Brutally Beaten, Family Assaulted in Biker Attack

From [HERE] and [HERE] An off-duty undercover NYPD cop was among the pack of bikers who chased an Asian family up the West Side Highway — and he stood by as the dad was hauled from his car and beaten, sources told The Post. The unidentified officer waited three days to come forward Wednesday night. He has been placed on modified duty and turned in his gun and badge on Friday, the sources said.

The chase lasted nearly eight minutes and covered over 50 blocks. The officer(s) did not notify the police and watched the brutal beating, which took place in broad-daylight. As many as six bikers preyed on victim Lien, kicking him in the head even as he tried to crawl to safety.

A second cop has also been outed for doing nothing during the brutal assault and is also under departmental investigation. The white media has echoed the NYPD spin that the officers were deep undercover and couldn't be bothered to even dial 911. Neither cop's identity has not been released by the NYPD.

The officer rides with the New Rochelle-based Front Line Soldiers, a club that also counts several other cops among its members, a source said.

Internal Affairs is investigating whether those cops, too, were among the bikers — and whether they also witnessed the assault that left the Asian man bleeding on the pavement as his wife and toddler were terrorized in their car.

White Media asks Few Questions after Capitol Police Shooting of Unarmed Black Woman

Unarmed Black Woman with Infant Causes Militarized Lockdown From [HERE] and [HERE] Washington DC was temporarily placed on police lockdown following a bizarre incident where a Black woman was said to have rammed a security barricade near the White House. After ramming the security barricade the woman who had a young child with her was pursued by several Capitol Police cruisers and brutally shot to death by the cops. The incident resulted in an immediate police lockdown of the area with a bunch of government goons roaming around the area with weapons. The white media even jumped over the story providing continuous coverage while presenting the incident as a possible terror attack. She has been identified as 34-year-old Miriam Carey of Stamford, Conn

She was unarmed. It was not known whether she presented an immediate danger to police after she was stopped. Police gave no details concerning any threatening conduct that necessitated such brutal force. And the white media is not concernned about it.  This raises serious questions about the actions of the Capitol Police not to mention the blatant media sensationalism surrounding this event.

The incident began at about 2:30 p.m. at the White House gates at 15th and E streets NW. Police say Carey had attempted to ram a temporary security barrier outside the White House with her car, then struck a Secret Service uniformed division officer. She then fled the scene, leading police on a chase.

Video shows the woman's car surrounded by officers with their guns drawn in Garfield Circle, just outside the Capitol. Carey bashes into a barricade, backs up, and then drives away.  Initial reports said Carey had exited her vehicle and fired shots. However, Carey was not armed, did not fire any shots and apparently did not get out of the car. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier, who is white, said Capitol Police and Secret Service fired their weapons.

As stated by BlackListed What this shows more than anything is that America has gone completely insane. This was unquestionably a convenient excuse for the government to show off a large scale militarized police presence. If a militarized police lockdown is required to counter the threat of a single unarmed woman with a baby ramming a barricade, than it is obvious these people will be totally screwed if they are faced with a real threat.

What’s really sick about this is that both phony political parties in the U.S. House of Representatives expressed their gratitude to the Capitol Police for their actions with a standing ovation. So here we see the entire legislative body cheering the Capitol Police gunning down an unarmed woman. This proves that these people are nuts. This is not something that deserves approval let alone a standing ovation. If these people had any sort of credibility they would be calling for an investigation into the Capitol Police as to why they needed to shoot an unarmed woman in this manner. Unfortunately in this so-called post 9/11 era this type of thuggish police action is par for the course and endorsed by lawmakers and other idiot goons in the federal government.

Marion County Sheriff Apologizes for White Supremacy: Black Couple Seized, Handcuffed, Car Searched by Overseers (officers) @ Plantation

From [HERE] and [HERE] The sheriff of Marion County issued a statement Monday regarding allegations of a white deputy improperly stopping and racially profiling two Black actors on the roadside.

Hollywood couple Cherie Johnson and Dennis White say they were improperly stopped by police, put in handcuffs and harshly questioned during a recent weekend getaway in South Carolina (9/22). They claim the incident took place because of their race. Johnson is best known for her roles in TV shows "Punky Brewster" and "Family Matters," and White, from the movie "Notorious."

According to Mr. White the couple had pulled to the side of the road next to a cotton field to take in "the history and the oppression that those little white balls created decades ago," White states in his account.

White said, Marion County Deputy S. Barfield pulled up behind their car, ran their registration, and began to ask White a "plethora of questions." Deputy Barfield told White that Johnson had a warrant for her arrest, handcuffed both of them, and later admitted that no such warrant existed, the report states.

According to White, deputies repeatedly asked to search his vehicle, and when they did, they found nothing.

"He told me ... I was being detained for his safety because he didn't know me," Johnson said.

"At this time I became distraught," White wrote in his account of the incident. "I have been racially profiled several times in my lifetime but it touched my core when my woman was included."

"He un-cuffed us and let us go. No apology, no nothing,"

Stop and Frisk and Dump. Stroked Out Black Man Left for Dead by Phoenix Police

From [HERE] Witnesses claim a black church groundskeeper in South Phoenix was roughed up by Phoenix police officers, who just left him there. The man, Frank Morrison, suffered a stroke during his run-in with police, and has been hospitalized since last Monday.

It's unclear exactly why police were at the Word Center church and the surrounding church-owned properties -- where the church helps house people -- around Third Street and Southern Avenue, around 4 a.m.

Witnesses say police told them they were looking for a burglary suspect, as Morrison was handcuffed, taken to the ground, and tossed against a police car, according to witnesses -- before being released with no ticket or any citation, and dumped on the side of the road in front of the church, as officers took off.

"I just remember screaming at them not to shoot me because I hadn't done anything wrong," said Morrison.

Pastor Jeffrey Burns, as well as a man who lives at the center, Jerome Holland, corroborated the story.

Holland tells New Times that he woke up to police flashlights in his face, as officers had come into his home on the property -- where he lives with his two small children -- without serving any warrant that he's aware of, and pulled him out of his room. Holland says police were quick to leave him, but says he saw Morrison out of his window, as police were aggressively moving him around a patrol car.

Pastor Burns tells New Times that he also saw Morrison outside, getting "slammed" into the side of the police car. "They left him there to die.” [MORE]

Judge Delays Ruling in Arizona Racial Targeting Case - all non-whites profiled by cops

AP

A federal judge delayed a ruling in the racial profiling case against Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office Friday as both sides remain at odds over key remedies to ensure the agency adheres to constitutional requirements.

U.S. District Judge Murray Snow found in May that the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office singled out Latinos and deputies unreasonably prolonged detentions, marking the first finding by a court that the agency covering Arizona's most populous county engages in racial profiling.

Snow delayed a ruling in the case in June after parties indicated they wanted more time to reach an agreement, though it was clear during Friday's hearing that neither side would cave to the other's demands.

"I presume that you're now leaving it up to me to take your outline and create an order, and that's what I intend to do," Snow told attorneys.

The judge gave the lawyers until Sept. 18 to file additional briefs in the case and said he would issue a final order soon thereafter.

One key proposal that attorneys for the Sheriff's Office vehemently objected to is for deputies to note to dispatchers why they have stopped a vehicle before they make contact with the driver.

Given that the case arose after a small group of Latinos sued the agency for violating their constitutional rights, saying they were detained simply because of their race, the plaintiffs' attorneys said such a requirement is crucial to discern the motivation of the stop.

Maricopa County Chief Deputy Jerry Sheridan told the judge it would be burdensome and risky since "traffic stops are one of the most dangerous things that deputies do."

"It takes less than a second to say, 'I'm pulling this car over because it was speeding,'" said Cecillia Wang, an American Civil Liberties Union lawyer who is representing the plaintiffs, adding that such a requirement is needed "given the record ... of racial profiling of Latinos in this county."

Another key point of contention is the appointment of a monitor to oversee the agency's adherence to the judge's eventual order.

Arpaio says allowing a monitor means every policy decision would have to be cleared through the observer and would nullify his authority.

"Obviously, my client opposes the appointment of any monitor," Tim Casey, one of Arpaio's lawyers, told the judge.

Casey said in addition to usurping the sheriff's authority, the agency is concerned about how much power the monitor would have, and how privy the observer would be to sensitive information, including ongoing investigations and search warrants.

Judge says NYPD's Systematic Stop & Frisk of Non-Whites Violates Constitution

A federal judge has found that the NYPD ordered its overseers (officers) to violate the Constitutional rights of non-whites as a matter of policy. This of course is of no moment to many white people or their media, who are supportive or indifferent to such practices of white supremacy (like ID "Papers Please" laws). Similar to the increasingly meaningless 4th Amendment rights of non-whites, during Nazi Germany, various residency/movement regulations and identification measures were undertaken against Jews by the Government as preconditions to genocide. [MORE] In her written opinion the judge proposed that cops wear body cameras to record their encounters with non-white people and host more community meetings. But, the only remedy that will actually produce justice is to end white supremacy/racism.

From [HERE] In a repudiation of a major element in the Bloomberg (racist suspect in photo) administration’s crime-fighting legacy, the judge, Shira A. Scheindlin has found that the stop-and-frisk tactics of the New York Police Department violated the constitutional rights of non-whites in New York, and called for a federal monitor to oversee broad reforms.

In a decision issued on Monday, the Court ruled that police officers have for years been systematically stopping innocent people in the street without any objective reason to suspect them of wrongdoing. Officers often frisked these people, usually young minority men, for weapons or searched their pockets for contraband, like drugs, before letting them go, according to the 195-page decision.

Over the past decade the city has conducted about 5 million stop and frisks. The vast majority of residents who have been stopped, more than 80 percent, have been black or Latino. [MORE]

Above, White NYPD Deputy Inspector Recorded Telling Officer to Target Young Black Men Wearing Dark Clothing [MORE]

These stop-and-frisk episodes, which soared in number over the last decade as crime continued to decline, demonstrated a widespread disregard for the Fourth Amendment, which protects against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government, according to the ruling. It also found violations with the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause.

Judge Scheindlin found that the city “adopted a policy of indirect racial profiling by targeting racially defined groups for stops based on local crime suspect data.” She rejected the city’s arguments that more stops happened in minority neighborhoods solely because those happened to have high-crime rates.

“I also conclude that the city’s highest officials have turned a blind eye to the evidence that officers are conducting stops in a racially discriminatory manner,” she wrote.

White Santa Ana Cop Shoots & Kills Unarmed Homeless Latino Man

From [HERE] and [HERE] A white Santa Ana police officer shot and killed an unarmed 22-year-old homeless Latino man at a shopping center earlier this week and an eyewitness captured the murder on cell phone video.

The witness, who wished to remain unidentified, was standing in the parking lot of the Harbor Place Shopping Center in Santa Ana around 3 p.m. Tuesday when he filmed the confrontation in front of Jugo’s La Tropicana, a juice shop, between an officer and victim Hans Kevin Arellano.

'She exited her patrol car, gun drawn, and asked the gentlemen to get on the ground. The gentlemen didn’t get on the ground, he was still inside the restaurant,' the witness told KCAL9.com. 'She asked again. The man then exited the restaurant, and as he was exiting the restaurant, he said, "What are you gonna do, b****?" About a second later, she shot him in the chest.'

The victim, Hans Kevin Arellano, can be seen in the grainy video falling to his knees shortly after the bang of a loud gunshot.

The officer, a white female who was later identified as a 13-year-veteran, was called to the scene as back-up after reports of criminal activity at the Jugo's La Tropicana.

Latino Man Deformed by White Security Guard Awarded $58M by Jury

From [HERE]  A California jury has awarded nearly $58 million to a 43-year-old house painter left brain damaged and deformed after a security guard crushed his skull during a beating outside a Los Angeles-area bar. "His skull is like a pie with 25% cut out of it," attorney Federico Sayre said at a news conference Monday.

Doctors had to removed part of Antonio Lopez Chaj's brain and skull after the April 2010 beating at La Barra Latina in Torrance. He can no longer speak, needs help walking and requires 24-hour care.

Sayre said an unlicensed, untrained security guard with DGSP Security and Patrol Service beat Chaj with a baton or metal bar, kicked him in the head eight times and bashed his skull on the pavement four times. Chaj was attacked after he tried to intervene in a fight between one of his two nephews and the bar manager.

The guard was never charged; police said they lacked independent witnesses. He and the bartender who started the fight disappeared before the civil trial.

The damage award against the security firm — $35 million for past pain and suffering, $11.5 million for future medical expenses and $11 million for future pain and suffering — is one of the largest ever given to an individual in California.

Mostly White Jury Lets White Detroit Cop Walk in Fatal Shooting of Unarmed 7 yr old Black Girl

From [HERE] and [HERE] A mistrial has been declared after a mostly white jury said they won't continue deliberating in the trial for a white Detroit officer charged in the 2010 shooting death of a 7-year-old Black girl. The jury sent a note Tuesday to Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway saying no significant progress had been made toward a verdict in their three days of deliberations. Nearly two hours later, that was followed by another note that said the jury was unable to reach a verdict.

The jury was composed of 11 whites and one African-American. The "Justice for Aiyana Jones Committee" stated “from the start, we (JAJC) had no confidence in this jury that had only one African-American juror from a county that is over 42 percent African-American.

White police officer Joseph Weekley (in photo) was charged with felony involuntary manslaughter and careless discharge of a firearm causing death in the shooting of 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones, who was Black. He killed the child during a 2010 raid that was being filmed for a reality cable TV show.

Also indicted in 2011 was Allison Howard (in photo), an A&E producer for "The First 48" TV crew following police during the raid. She was indicted on charges of perjury during an investigative subpoena and obstruction of justice. She is also white. She pled guilty yesterday. Howard will serve 1 1/2 to 2 years' probation in Massachusetts. [MORE

The night Aiyana Jones died, Detroit police were searching for murder suspect, Chauncey Owens, who was engaged to Aiyana's aunt, in connection with the May 14, 2010, murder of 18-year-old Jerean Blake. After obtaining a search warrant, police kicked in the front door of the home on Lillibridge, where Owens was thought to be hiding.

They threw a flashbang grenade into the downstairs flat of a multi-family home on Lillibridge about 12:40 a.m. and Weekley was accused of firing the bullet that struck and killed the girl, who was sleeping on the couch in the front room of the home. The "flash-bang" light-emitting grenade was meant to distract suspects.

Aiyana's family, represented by Geoffrey Feiger in a pending civil case, claims police attempted to cover up the fatal mistake from the very beginning.

Fresno Police Sued in Coma Beating Death of Unarmed Latino Man - Hogtied & Drowned in front of kids

From [HERE] Fresno police drowned an unarmed Latino man by Tasering and hogtying him, then sticking a garden hose "onto (his) face and mouth" when he pleaded for water according to a lawsuit filed against the City of Fresno. A federal civil-rights case will examine whether Fresno police officers and Fresno County sheriff's deputies used excessive force in connection with the death of a domestic-violence suspect two years ago.

The family of Raul Rosas Jr. has sued the city of Fresno and Fresno County in U.S. District Court for wrongful death, negligence and police brutality. The lawsuit alleges a wild series of events immediately after law enforcement caught Rosas on June 5, 2011:

After an altercation with a John Doe officer, police pepper-sprayed Rosas and then Tasered him a "countless number of times," the complaint states. He was tasered "for eight to ten more minutes," then he was "hogtied with his ankles tied to his handcuffs behind his back."

Police officers then slammed his face into a table in the backyard of a southeast Fresno home. Rosas began losing consciousness when an officer put his knee into Rosas' back.

"Decedent stated that he couldn't breathe and that he needed water; an officer ran water from a hose onto decedent's face and mouth to the point of making it more difficult for decedent to breathe. Decedent tried to move his mouth away from the water and gasp for air. A witness yelled 'He can't breathe, you're drowning him,' but the officer continued running water over decedent's face.

"After turning the water off, the Doe Officer(s) continued to press his knee against decedent's back and continued to put pressure on it. Witnesses repeatedly asked officers to let decedent get up because he couldn't breathe, but their cries for help were ignored. "By now there were in excess of 15 deputies and officers on the scene.

"After some time passed, decedent had clear spit bubbles coming out of his mouth. "Witnesses yelled at officers that decedent was not breathing and pointed to the clear spit bubbles but again were ignored. Doe officer claimed decedent was 'faking it.'" [MORE]

His lips turned purple. He was later revived but quickly lapsed into a coma and never recovered. He died July 2, 2011. "They killed him," Rosas' brother, Christian Rosas, said Friday. "And for what reason?" [white supremacy/racism]

Hundreds Demand Justice for Latino Man Killed by White Manteca Police Officer (keep your protest signs, it will happen again)

"You Should expect to be killed in the name of racism anytime, any place. You have been marked as an enemy because you are [non-white]. Keep your protest signs because this will happen again" - Nelly Fuller on the radio 12/12/12. [MORE]

From [HERE] More than one hundred people marched through Manteca Sunday, protesting the controversial death of Ernesto Duenez, fatally shot 11 times by a Manteca Police Officer during an altercation 2 years ago this week. Protestors from all over the state marched from Flores Avenue to the Manteca Police Department.

“We will never stop searching for justice,” Duenez’s sister told FOX40. “He is our loved one, we fight for his life and for his death. The officer who killed my brother needs to be behind bars.”

Manteca Police told FOX40 Sunday the department stands by the officer’s decision. The officer now works in the special investigations unit at the Manteca Police Department.

White prosecutors in the San Joaquin County district attorney’s office concluded that California Police Officer James Moody had been legally justified in shooting 34-year-old Ernesto Duenez Jr., but the video might bring the case back to court.
