Ben Crump says White DA Failed to Account for the Evidence of Blunt Force Trauma to the Back of Nolan Wells' Head and Body; NAACP Wants Release of Full Autopsy Report

From [HERE] The NAACP is asking for the release of the full autopsy report and investigative records in the death of Nolan Wells after a grand jury declined to bring any criminal indictments.

In a statement released Tuesday, NAACP General Counsel Kristen Clarke expressed deep concern over the grand jury’s decision, stating that the findings leave the community and Wells’ family without answers.

“The results of the grand jury investigation leave Nolan’s family and the public with far more questions than answers,” Clarke said. “Make no mistake, we will continue to stand with Nolan’s family and use every tool available in the quest to uncover the full truth surrounding his tragic death.”

Clarke called on prosecutors to keep the inquiry open and provide total transparency by making state records public.

“Nolan’s family deserves nothing less than a full, fair, and independent investigation that is exhaustive and leaves no stone unturned,” Clarke added. “We urge the District Attorney to continue the investigation, release the full autopsy report from the state’s medical examiner, and make the investigative file public.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who represents Wells’ family, also released a statement in response to the grand jury report, saying “Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath is attempting to close the chapter on Wells’ death without getting to the bottom of what caused the blunt force trauma to the back of his head and body.” [MORE]
