Venezuela’s Main Problem is that it is Rich Not only in Oil and Gas but in a Wide Range of Other Precious Commodities the US has Always Wanted to Steal and Control

From [HERE] Venezuela’s main problem is that it is fabulously rich not only in oil and gas but in a wide range of other precious commodities and the United States has always wanted to control not only those resources but all similar riches throughout the Americas at least since the time of the 1823 Monroe Doctrine. Although we could rabbit on here about the CIA’s regime change record in Latin America, there is no point, as all of that should be as well known as should be the White House’s collusion with Latin America’s cocaine barons and the CIA’s murder by a thousand media cuts of journalist Gary Webb for exposing all of that.

Had Venezuelan President Maduro been as complicit in the CIA’s cocaine running as Panama’s Noriega was before he fell out of favour and got banged up in a Yankee gulag, then Maduro would be on easy street but, because his cards have played out otherwise, a massive Yankee invasion fleet lurks off the Venezuelan coast with the same ill designs on Maduro as the Yanks have had on all other Latino democrats and/or autocrats who did not meekly toe their line.

Though Trump’s current casus belli is that Maduro is pumping tonnes of fentanyl into the States, there is no need for me to discredit that porkie as PBS, World Politics Review, the Orinoco Tribune and even the hard line New York Times are among the many media outlets that have easily debunked those claims, which are also contradicted by the recent extradition of Chinese fentanyl drug lord Zhi Dong Zhang from Mexico to the United States.

Not that any of that matters in the least as this Yankee outlet tells us that “Venezuela’s supersonic anti-ship missiles are a real threat to American warships” while this report sings the praises of Maduro’s 5,000 Russian Igla-S surface to air missiles and the New York Times tells us that Trump, Bay of Pigs style, has an entire armada lurking off Venezuela’s coast in the “Global South” client state of Trinidad & Tobago (which lies within spitting distance of the Venezuelan coast) whilst also infiltrating an entire legion of CIA Special Forces terrorists into Venezuela to stir the pot. And into neighbouring Colombia as well as their President, who is now on Trump’s hit list, had the temerity to object to Trump’s Venezuelan criminality.

Not that the Yanks act alone as this report on America’s joint naval drills with mighty Trinidad & Tobago and this other excellent RT piece on Norway granting some war mongering Venezuelan nobody their Nobel Peace Prize shows, as does the recent elevation to sainthood of some Venezuelan medic which led to ungodly fist fights in the Vatican.

To say that Maduro and Venezuelan civil society is cheesed off with Trinidad & Tobago is the mother of all understatements. Leave aside that Caracas has suspended its energy agreements with Port of Spain and recall that Trinidad & Tobago has one of the world’s weakest defence forces and that it its entire air force consists of two (2) Fairfield C26 Metroliners and four (4) AW139 choppers which are currently doing joint military drills with some 20% of the entire Yankee navy in what is nothing more than a flimsy fig leaf to shake down Venezuela on the pretext that Caracas and not crime-ridden Port of Spain is a lawless cocaine conduit.

Although Latin America has always been rich in treacherous, good for nothing, two headed snakes, the Yanks must take primary responsibility for turning it and countries like the Philippines historically affiliated to it over again and again; even Simón Bolívar, their supposed liberator, said as much when he lamented that trying to put Latin America on an even keel was like trying to control the ocean’s wildest currents.

Frankly, Latin America, its three power centres of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina in particular, remains a mess and it is no wonder that Uncle Sam continues to have the run of the place. How can China take any of these jokers seriously when 80 year old Nicaraguan nutter Daniel Ortega wants them to squander hundreds of billions of dollars and God knows how many lives blasting a Panama canal 2.0 through his fiefdom and certifiable Argentinian lunatic Javier Milei is squandering hundreds of billions more as fast as the Yanks can launder their money through that ponce’s (less than) good offices?
