Pittsburg Officer Videotaped Punching Black man after being bear-hugged

A city police officer punched a man in the head after the man bear-hugged him in a scuffle caught on videotape Thursday at the scene of a fatal shooting. Police didn't immediately identify the officer or the man seen on the video, which was shown on WTAE-TV. The man was led away in handcuffs, but it wasn't immediately clear if police filed charges against him. The television station had a reporter and cameraman at the scene interviewing people about what police described as a drive-by shooting Wednesday night that killed Franklin Sheffey Jr., 16, and injured two other people. The scene grew chaotic when police pulled up, grabbed one man and handcuffed him. After that, the officer scuffled with the second man as several people looked on. [more]
